Privacy Policy

Sniff Test checks suspicious messages, links, screenshots and public X accounts and gives an automated assessment. This page explains what we collect, why, and how long we keep it. Sniff Test is operated by Roy Enterprises, a registered business in India. "We" means Roy Enterprises.

What you should not submit

Sniff Test never asks for passwords. There are no accounts or logins. Please do not submit passwords, one-time codes, PINs or full card numbers. If a screenshot shows any, crop them out first.

Checks

When you run a check, we receive what you submit: message text, a link, an X username, or a screenshot with optional context. This is passed to an automated analysis service to produce your result. For a link or an X account, the analysis may read the public page or public posts. It does not log in anywhere.

We store the following to deliver your result:

• the result, including the label, the reasons and the recommended action. The reasons may quote parts of what you submitted;
• a screenshot, if you submitted one, saved as a compressed image;
• a technical record with a random identifier and a one-way (hashed) form of your IP address. We use it only to apply usage limits and prevent abuse. It does not contain what you submitted.

These items are deleted after 7 days. Items older than 7 days are not served. They are erased by routine cleanup that runs when the service is next used, so erasure can take slightly longer than 7 days.

Business pilot requests

If you request a pilot, we collect your name, work email, organisation, role, optional website and optional note. We use them only to contact you about the pilot. We keep a request until it is no longer needed for that purpose. A hashed form of your IP address is kept for about two days to limit repeated submissions.

Payments

When you pay online, you will be asked for your name, email and mobile number, and for the plan you choose. Payment is processed by Cashfree Payments (UPI, cards and net banking, as shown on its page). Stripe may be added later; this page will be updated if so. You enter your UPI, card or bank details on the provider's own payment page, and they are not seen or stored by us. Each provider handles them under its own privacy policy. We keep a record of each order (plan, amount, payment provider, status, time and a hashed form of your IP address) for support and accounting.

Cookies and tracking

We do not use cookies, advertising trackers or tools that follow individual visitors on this site. To understand how much the service is used, we keep anonymous daily totals: the number of page views of the checker page and of the business page, checks started, pilot requests and payments started. These are counts only. They contain no IP address, cookie, device detail or personal information, and they cannot be linked to any person. Our hosting provider keeps standard technical server logs, such as IP address and browser type, to run and secure the service.

Sharing

We do not sell your information. We share it only with the services needed to run Sniff Test: the analysis service that produces your result, our hosting and database providers, and Cashfree Payments when you pay.

Your choices

You can ask us to delete or correct information about you, or ask what we hold, by writing to snifftestbot@outlook.in. Start the subject with "Data request" and tell us what you need. You can also use the pilot request form on the For businesses page. Because checks are stored without your name, we may need the result link or identifier to find one.

If we change this policy we will update the date above.
